Hi Everyone, I came across this article tonight about a drug that restored hair on bald mice with a 100% success rate. Yes, mice!!!! Yes, 100% success rate to regrow hair and 100% success rate in hair loss prevention.
I don’t profess to know how they stressed them out or caused them to go bald – I can’t say I’m a fan of what they do to animals in the name of science, but this is certainly a promising result for hair loss sufferers. Much like with Minoxidil (Regaine, Rogaine) and other hair loss medications, this breakthrough came about through pure serendipity.
Whether this will translate to a breakthrough in humans being able to regrow their hair will take years to establish. The process of testing and confirmation can take years. Nevertheless it is an exciting prospect that a cure for baldness maybe in the pipeline.
